 Sez. C – Activities

WRITING

  1. Refer to activity 4 p. 99: a group of American tourists is interested in your proposal, translate it in English.
  2. Refer to activity 1 p.107. While post-war mass tourism developed in Italy and other Mediterranean areas many British seaside resorts did not share the same problems because British tourists started travelling abroad, looking for a warmer climate. An example is given by Norfolk’s coast, which was more crowded in the XIX century than it is today. Read its history on www.visitnorfolk.co.uk/explore-norfolk/seaside-holidays-history.aspx and write a summary of the page contents.
  3. Refer to activity 2 p. 113: choose one of the attractions you included in your list and prepare a leaflet advertising the use of AR at this site for English speaking tourists.

CONVERSATION

Work in pairs. Each of you will choose one of the “Borghi di qualità” listed in the box on p. 93 and will find some more information about it on the Internet. Then you will compare the two towns by asking and answering questions on their attractions and facilities. Finally you will decide together which is the most interesting town and plan a weekend there together.
