WRITING

1. Refer to activity n.4 p.97: translate your list in English for tourists coming from the UK and USA. Remember to check what documents are necessary to enter Russia coming from those countries.
2. Refer to activity n.2 p.103: prepare an English brochure advertising one of the Celtic festivals you included in your list.
3. Refer to activiy n.3, p.111. Pretend your class is going to participate to a school trip organized by an English travel agency. Write an e-mail to the travel agent to make sure the school trip they have suggested meets all the requirements you included in your list.
4. Refer to activity n.3, p. 119. Translate your itinerary in English for English speaking tourists.
5. Refer to acitivity n.2, p.123. Prepare a brochure in English advertising Plitvice Park and the activities it offers.
6. Refer to activiy n.1, p.129. Consider the purposes you wrote about and explain how they can apply to a visit to Ground Zero.

CONVERSATION

Work in pairs. Refer to the box on p. 127 and visit the official website of the Association of Significant Cemeteries in Europe (www.significantcemeteries.org). Download the map of European cemeteries, then each of you will look for information about 5 cemeteries. When you have gathered the essential data, one student will pretend he or she works for the association and will provide information regarding the 5 selected cemeteries to the other student. Then you will exchange roles, asking and answering questions about the other 5 cemeteries.
